LOQM has quantum photonics positions at IIT Bombay for researchers at every stage — postdoctoral fellows, PhD candidates, and undergraduate/masters thesis students — working on quantum photonics, silicon photonics, and photonic machine learning. If our research excites you, here’s how to apply.

Postdoctoral positions:

1. Theory: Quantum/nano photonics, Machine Learning

2. Experimental: Quantum photonics, chemical vapor deposition, 2D materials

Through the IITB Physics Department recruitment (several openings via Photonics group)
In order to be considered:
– You must clear the written PhD entrance exam conducted by the Physics Department (twice a year)
– After clearing the written round, you must give photonics as the field of choice
– After the above two steps, if you want, you may contact AK for discussing the details of the project (which would have been made available to you beforehand)

Undergraduate and masters theses:

For IITB undergrads and masters students: we will be happy to discuss your candidature for full year BTP, DDP and MTP. Please drop an email to AK with your CV and topics of interest. Note that currently we are unable to accommodate IITB MSc Physics project students.
